‘Unprecedented’ | Stellantis sells 150 hydrogen vans to Toyota/Air Liquide joint venture days after unveiling eight new models
Three days after unveiling a new range of eight hydrogen-powered vans, the world’s third-largest automaker, Stellantis, a French company has revealed it has ordered 150 of the vehicles.
Hysetco — a joint venture between Toyota, Air Liquide, energy efficiency services company Idex and electric taxi firm Step that leases fuel-cell vehicles to customers in France — will now add the 150 Peugeot E-Expert hydrogen vans to its fleet, which currently includes the Toyota Mirai and Renault Master van.
In a LinkedIn post, Hysetco says that the Peugeot vans will be “fitted out for various professional uses such as wheelchair transport, shuttles, logistics and for self-employed tradesmen.
“The offer will be available in the form of an all-inclusive leasing contract including the vehicle, its servicing, maintenance and repair, fuel, insurance, administrative formalities, etc.
“With this unprecedented order, we are taking another step towards sustainable, accessible and concrete mobility.”
The 150 vans are due to be delivered in the first quarter of 2024.
