CleanMax has secured a 25-year power purchase agreement to supply Bangalore Airport with electricity from a 45.9-MW solar-wind power project. The project will be developed by a special purpose vehicle called Clean Max Bial Renewable Energy Pvt Ltd and will be located in Jagaluru, Karnataka state. The hybrid power plant will consist of 36 MWp of solar PV modules and a 9.9 MW wind park, forming part of a larger 290 MW hybrid complex.

Bangalore Airport will receive around 90 million kWh of power annually from the renewable energy complex, meeting its entire electricity needs. The PPA with CleanMax is expected to result in significant cost savings for the airport, according to BIAL CEO Hari Marar.
