The International Solar Alliance has formalised a Framework for Action with the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi to strengthen global cooperation in clean energy capacity building, academic collaboration, and talent development across ISA Member Countries.
“Building on the success of the ISA-supported M.Tech in Renewable Energy and Management at IIT Delhi, through which over 100 professionals from Africa, Asia-Pacific, and SIDS are now leading solar deployment and clean energy transitions, this partnership marks the next phase of impact,” stated ISA.
As part of the next phase, the collaboration will introduce a Train-the-Trainers postgraduate diploma programme, developed through IIT Delhi’s academic network and in partnership with INES – Institut National de l’Energie Solaire (France). The initiative aims to create a structured global framework for strengthening clean energy capabilities across ISA Member Countries, ISA said.
In addition, ISA and IIT Delhi are exploring new academic pathways, including Master’s programmes in Public Policy and PhD research opportunities, to further strengthen the global solar talent pipeline.
