Romoss 300W (231Wh) Portable Lithium Power Station

The Romoss Thunder RS300 is a power station with a 231WH battery capacity and a 300W inverter. It has one pure sine wave AC outlet capable of up to 600W peak, two USB Type-A ports capable of 18W each, and one USB Type-C port with up to 60W of power delivery. The Romoss can be recharged from a wall outlet, car outlet (cigarette lighter), or solar (DC input). If using grid power (AC), the 48W input will fully charge the Romoss in a little under 6 hours. The 231Whr battery can power your laptop for an hour or longer and mobile elecronics (including your Switch, Steam Deck, or ASUS ROG Ally) for several hours to days.

The Romoss uses traditional lithium-ion batteries instead of LiFePO4. That keeps the price of the power station down and also makes it lighter, weighing in at only 6 pounds. Unless you completely discharge and recharge your power station on a regular basis (like several times per week), the battery should easily last you for years. Standard “UPS” battery backups like APC and CyberPower are cheaper because they use traditional lead acid batteries. As opposed to lithium batteries like LFP and NCM, lead acid batteries are super heavy, have a much shorter lifespan, and are far less efficient.

Romoss seems to be a pretty established brand on Amazon. I’ve used their power banks with success, but I’ve never actually tried one of their power stations. It might not have all the bells and whistles compared to the similarly sized Ecoflow River 2, but the price more than makes up for it.
